About Us~
At first it was just for fun and an attempt at combining having fun with earning some extra cash. Back then in 2002 we had the idea to start selling useful, fun, funky giftware and bodycare products and had no idea about what it would turn in to. For about a year we carried just about all of our stock in the boot of the car and at the weekends pitched at holistic health fairs across Yorkshire. And it was fun, it was fabulous, I just couldn't wait until the next one. The people we met, the independence, the things we learned, the buzz and just the thrill of the interaction with people who visited our stand was both heart warming and highly addictive. On the day we did our first stand, I said to my partner, Tracy, 'I want to do this for a living!'

On the flip side of the fun aspect, we had to try to build the company with more great products and find more suppliers. This was actually less fun. As a tiny part time weekender with little cash to spare and huge aspirations we really struggled with some suppliers, who just clearly wished we would go away and leave them alone. Others were great, and really helpful. This was our strongest lesson about how to work with our customers. It is also the deepest foundation that we stand on at Elements.

Handmade soap was a fast growing market then and we sold a lot of it. Strangely enough we could not find any soap dishes to sell with them, it was like selling cars without tyres. They were selling loads in USA, so why couldn't we buy them here? Hours, days and nights passed by as we searched on the internet trying to find wooden soap dishes! It became a campaign and a mission, something that became so important. Eventually a kindly and frustrated manufacturer in China supplied us with a few hundred soap dishes and a few other items totalling 22 boxes filling the newly built shelves in our garage.

With a scary wall of cardboard in the garage, we began the next phase of our business, wholesaling. Using our experiences and our valued contacts we decided to target small soap making companies and Elements Wholesale was born. We now have agreed the highest standards with our manufacturers. We have some unique products that are exclusive only to us and we now import many full containers each year from the same manufacturer that believed in us back in 2003 and went against all the rules of manufacturing to help us get on our feet.

We have learned so much about the supply of fabulous goods and how to help our customers build their businesses. We just like to enjoy our work and help our customers to make profits and enjoy theirs. It shows when you work with us.

Now I do this for a living, it was my dream back in 2002 and is now real. We have some fabulous new product lines on the way and some great lines available at all times. Using the best bits of all the companies that helped us along we have moulded Elements. Friendly and helpful service, quick response, superb value for money.
